Specials are first quality flooring products that are bought and sold at a lower cost. Before products become specials, they have a warranty offered through the manufacturer. In order to move, or "blow out" products quickly, they will remove the warranty in order to make the product less costly (liability has a cost). Distributors like Heritage buy these products in huge lots, usually just single colors at a time, and pass those savings on down the line. Though it is 1st quality flooring that is free from defects, there are no returns and no cancellations and these floors come "as is". It is what it is.
